Building Bridges Across Generations: Redefining Intergenerational Spaces for Girls' Empowerment

Girls Action Foundation has compiled practices and reflections to share with other groups that are creating intergenerational spaces for social change. We hope that our experience and expertise can contribute to stronger connections between girls and women of all ages who work for a world of peace and justice.

Creating intergenerational spaces, based on non-hierarchical and anti-oppression frameworks, contributes to social change. When we support girls and women of different ages to exchange knowledge, experiences, and skills, we can strengthen our movements for change.  It is in these spaces that leadership can be nurtured and supported with the goal of learning from the past and reflecting on the present to create a more just and equitable future.
