I Am Here: A compilation of girls’ and young women’s experiences and thoughts on immigration

This zine was created for girls and young women to voice their experiences and thoughts on immigration on their own terms; to tell their own stories and to write about what matters to them.

We asked girls and young women who identified with the project (a project designed to empower immigrant girls and young women, reduce discriminatory barriers and raise awareness about their lived experiences) to send in essays, poems, stories and art on any topic/issue/angle/experience/event/you-name-it that they were passionate about and wanted to share with the world.

The result is a smart, insightful, and genuine compilation of young women’s voices on issues related to immigration.
