Northern Reflections: Looking Back and Moving Forward for Girls' Empowerment

Our intention in creating this resource is to share the energy and practical resources
that came out of the Northern Light Project. At the same time, this publication is a celebration of what girls and women are doing in their communities. Northern Reflections is an informative and inspirational tool for anyone who wants to support girls’ and young women’s empowerment!

You will find reflections of some of the challenges and strengths that were identified in Northern communities; as well as action strategies: real-life examples of actions taken by young women and
community groups. We have also included workshop ideas and programming tips from women working in the North. Finally, we have included profiles of organizations who are working for the well-being and empowerment of young people in the North, as well as organizations that support networking across the region.
